A Magical Christmas In NYC

New York City is a magical place to visit during the Christmas season, and there are plenty of activities for couples to enjoy together. Some must-see attractions include the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree, ice skating at the rink below the Rockefeller Center, the holiday window displays on Fifth Avenue, and Bryant Park.  Couples can also take a romantic stroll or take a carriage ride through Central Park, which is beautiful during the winter months, and enjoy some of the city’s famous food. Whether you’re looking for holiday cheer or a cozy night in, New York City has something for every couple to enjoy.

We stayed at the Hotel Baccarat and I have to say, it was my favorite place we’ve ever stayed in the city.  The hotel is absolutely stunning and is in the best location to walk around the city.  We loved the food at the hotel, but my favorite part was tea time, which you do need a reservation for, and the bar in the hotel lobby.  The decor of the entire hotel was just STUNNING.

Below is an itinerary of what we did in NYC, where we ate, etc. We have been quite a few times so we always try and go back to our favorites and add in a few more places.  We tried to stay around our hotel so we could walk most places just because getting a cab/uber was really hard this trip – also many of the roads were shut off for tourists.

When planning a winter trip to New York City, it’s important to pack warm clothes because the city can experience freezing temperatures and snow during the winter months, so it’s essential to be prepared. Some essential items to pack include a heavy coat, hat, gloves, and warm socks. Layering is also key, so be sure to pack plenty of long-sleeved shirts, sweaters, and warm pants. Don’t forget to bring a scarf and a pair of comfortable boots to keep your feet warm and dry. By packing the right clothes, you’ll be able to enjoy your trip to New York City without worrying about the cold.

This Burberry cape is hands down one of my favorite purchases all year and I am SO happy I packed it for this trip because I ended up wearing it almost everyday – it is so warm!

I also packed this wool coat that I bought at Express. It goes with almost any outfit and is extremely warm!

Not only is New York City magical on its own but it is extra special to us because Shawn actually proposed to me at this same spot, 7 years ago!  Shawn proposed to me at Bow Bridge in Central Park and it was the easiest YES of my life (and I had NO idea it was happening). The bridge, which spans across the park’s Lake, offers stunning views of the surrounding greenery and city skyline. It’s a picturesque location, so even if you aren’t planning on getting engaged or proposing to your loved one, you should definitely make the trip and take some pictures to have forever! If you’re planning on getting engaged at this iconic spot, be sure to bring a warm coat and gloves to stay comfortable in the chilly winter weather.  A day I will never forget!

I asked many of you who have visited NYC often or live there your favorites so I did want to share them with you – you can easily save these to your phone for when you’re visiting during the holiday season to hopefully make your trip as magical as ever!

CCMF 2022: Country Concert Outfit Roundup

Giddy on up gals because country girl summer is here, hehe! I know y’all love country concerts just as much as we do, and I love sharing all of the glamorous boots, hats, and outfits with y’all. CCMF (Carolina Country Music Fest) is always one of our favorite weeks of the year here in Myrtle Beach. If you’ve never been, I highly recommend it! It’s a great way to kick off summer at the beach and see SO many amazing country artists all in one place! This year, most days had a theme to coordinate your outfit with, and I was not gonna pass up that opportunity 🤩! I’ve rounded up all of my looks from this year’s festival below, some of which just might be my all-time favorites! Scroll through to see each night’s theme and full outfit details!

Night 1 🎸🎶

The opening night was Chase Rice with Chris Lane…and what a good time it was! I designed these boots Twenty Two Ideas a while back and was SO excited to finally be able to wear them for a concert. They matched this darling embroidered cutout dress perfectly! Y’all know I had to complete the look with a Vintage Boho bag!

Night 2 – Denim & Diamonds 💎✨

Having my own “Carrie Underwood” moment with this fabulous theme on Friday night. Loved jamming to Riley Green and Luke Bryan, but I may have been most excited that my “vision” for this look came to life perfectly–sparkling from head to toe! I mean what is there not to love?! Rhinestone Cowgirl Hats absolutely crushed what I wanted for this hat to go along with the skirt. If you’re dying for your own, there are few of the “Rife Hats” left that look just like this one! I’ve had the light pink metallic boots for a few months now, but when these fuchsia beauties launched, I just couldn’t resist! They are still in stock (and also available in red and gold), but hurry–they are going fast.

Night 3 – Wild West 🤠🐴

Can I hear a little commotion for the dress? Now let’s hear it for the back of the dress, hehe! Queen of Sparkles did not disappoint with this little fringe number that I paired with a western style bow. AND THESE BOOTS…they deserve their own moment, because just WOW! These might be making it into my all time favorite cowgirl boots…also available in pink and black colors at Whiskey Darling! Keith Urban was so much fun this night, and as a fashion blogger, I have to give him bonus points for wearing his red bottoms on stage 😆

Night 4 – America 🇺🇸 🌟

This might be my favorite look of all, hehe! Another Queen of Sparkles dress and Rhinestone Cowgirl hat again , with my all-time favorite Miron Crosby “Yee Haw” boots. The crossbody bag is perfect for concerts, gameday, and other events with a clear bag policy! You can personalize the initials and beaded strap! I can’t think of a better look for the amazing show Jason Aldean put on for the last night of CCMF!

What a fun year of good times, great music, and amazing people! To keep up with my country concert outfit inspiration and other looks, you can always check my LTK and Instagram for the most recent finds!

The Perfect Charleston Travel Guide For Your Next Getaway!

When Shawn and I need a quick weekend getaway or are just looking for a change of scenery on date night, Charleston is our favorite destination. It’s less than two hours from us but has so much to offer with stunning scenery, top-notch dining, great shopping, and it’s rich history. If you’re trying to plan a visit, I’d recommend visiting in the Spring when all of the landscapes are in full boom, the weather isn’t too hot yet, and the cheerful colors of Rainbow Row match the vibes of season! Just like the rest of the SC coast, it does get quite warm from May-August, so it’s surrounding beaches also make for a perfect summer vacation spot.

You really can’t go wrong at most places in Charleston, but to make your planning easier, I’ve included all of our favorites and some of my downtown outfit inspiration mixed in 🙂

Places to Stay

Hotel Bennett is my top pick, as it’s located in the heart of downtown on King Street and is always a best-in-class experience. The architecture and design is stunning, with that southern charm feel mixed with a historical elegance. They have an exquisite spa and multiple dining experiences to try. My personal favorite would be the all pink Champagne Lounge, Camellias. It is darling! They have an afternoon tea along with a dinner selection of caviar, charcuterie and local seafood.

Market Pavilion Hotel, also located in central downtown with a delicious steakhouse and nice bar located inside of the hotel, is one of our go-to stays as well. If you are looking a for an unforgettable experience, Bolt Farm Treehouse must be reserved far in advance, but I can’t recommend it more for a romantic getaway!

Other options we love include: The Francis Marion, Hotel Indigo, Charleston Harbor Resort, The Restoration, 20 South Battery, and Belmond Charleston Place. Additionally, there are so many great AirBnB options for beach houses, cozy cottages, and more! Be sure to book far in advance!

One of the best things about Charleston is there are things to see and do everywhere! The surrounding islands and areas are just a few minutes from the heart of the city and have just as much fun, good eats, and shopping!

Assembling the Perfect Easter Charcuterie Board

I am such a huge fan of the grazing table and charcuterie board trend! It’s so fun to put a different spin on it for different holidays and occasions. My most recent is this beautiful Easter grazing board that features bunnies, blooms, and berries. With candy, cheese, fruit, and cookies, this is the perfect snack for any Easter gathering.

To assemble the board I like to start with the biggest items first the work my way to small fruits and candies to gradually fill in space. Use cookie cutters on cheese slices for extra flair, and then add flowers or greenery as finishing details. The final step– ENJOY! A special thanks Froth & Bubble Co. for the help! Head on over to my Instagram to see the video of assembling this swoon-worthy board!

*Bonus* Use Easter themed mini waffle makers to make a breakfast/brunch friendly board OR use large cookie cutters to add finger sandwiches for the kids.

All Things Nashville: My Music City Travel + Fall Style Guide

Howdy y’all! Y’all know I love Music City—Nashville, Tennessee! We always have such a good time exploring, dining, and honky tonkin’. And if you know me, you know I can’t resist a good pair of cowgirl boots, brim hat, and western glam outfit…AKA this girl was made for Nashville style! Just planning my outfits, is almost as fun as being in Nashville!

To let y’all in on the fun and help you plan your next Nashville trip, I’m sharing my recommendations on where to stay, things to do, and of course, what to wear! I’ve even done the planning for you on our weeklong itinerary shared below!

Alright, I won’t make you wait any longer…As Shania says, “Let’s go girls”

Where To Stay

Last time we were there we stayed at the Graduate Nashville, the most glamorous, Dolly Parton themed hotel. Every corner was filled with fabulous decor and art. Their well-known rooftop bar, White Limozeen, was a pink heaven with drinks just as tasty as they were beautiful. My fabulous room is just a taste of the stunning themed decor!

Shawn and I also have stayed at the Thompson. The food there is just as amazing as the stay–think Bologna sandwich, glitter- fried chicken (yes, I said glitter!), and quick, yummy breakfast bites! Their rooftop bar and restaurant, LA Jackson, has a stunning view and the coolest set ups (as seen below).

On our most recent visit, Shawn and I stayed at the Conrad Nashville and LOVED it! The rooms were amazing, the staff was so helpful and sweet, and they seriously though of everything! (They even had Mojave Ghost scented cosmetics!) It was an easy walk to everything on and around Broadway…I would say this our new top recommendation!

Other Nashville stays I recommend are: Fairlane Hotel, The Joseph Hotel, Bobby Hotel, the Dream, the Noelle, Virgin Hotel, The Westin, and Grand Hyatt.
