A Pirate’s Life 4 Me: Bo’s 4th Birthday!

Holy moly, my precious little boy is FOUR years old! Time seems to fly by faster each year, so I am treasuring each and every moment of family time. I just love watching Bo grow into his big personality and seeing the world through his eyes as he learns each day! I know I’ve said it many times before, but it’s just too true when they say that the days are long but the years are short.

Of course, we celebrated all week long, but Bo’s actual party was Saturday evening! If you follow along regularly, you know he LOVES going to “the pirate ship”—a pirate themed playground that looks exactly like a ship at one of our favorite local spots on the inlet, Mojo’s. So, yes, you guessed it…Bo requested a pirate themed party at THE pirate ship.

From the beautiful balloon and light displays to the pyro show, this party was a BLAST! Mojo’s Marina Bar and Grille provided a delicious meal for the adults and kids (complete with treasure chest takeout boxes). And we had too much fun with all of the extra-special, pirate details including: oreo “gold coins,” treasure map goody bags, custom sticker signs and Koozies, and so many more fabulous details! To add to the fun, Shawn and I even embraced our inner pirate to match Bo’s costume! The kids (and parents) had a wonderful time, and we appreciate everyone who made Bo’s 4th birthday one to remember.

October Outfit Recap: Best of My Vermont, Nashville, and Fall Looks

With bike week, two big trips, Halloween, and Bo’s birthday, October was a blast and filled with my favorite looks to style! Still trying to recover from the craziness before the holiday season takes over, but in the meantime I’m still obsessing over all my outfits this last month. Enjoying my favorite season in Vermont, made for some of my best fall looks and on-top of that, I got to embrace my love for Western Glam in Nashville! I don’t want to forget the fun just yet, so here’s a full October outfit recap. As always, you can find these and all of my outfits on my LikeToKnow.It. I’ve also linked each outfit below!

Fall in Vermont: My Outfit Lookbook

In addition to the wonderful time spent with family, beautiful scenery, and delicious food, the fall fashion in Vermont was one of the best parts of this dreamy trip. I couldn’t wait to break out ALL of the flannels, sweaters, and boots that I don’t get to wear a lot of during the short South Carolina fall. We did a little bit of everything while in Vermont, and my outfits definitely reflect this, from cozy to chic—Y’all know I love making each piece and outfit my own style! 🙂

For my coziest looks, I loved pairing cute sweatshirts and pullovers with the OG Spanx leggings and warm (but oh-so stylish) boots. For our outdoor adventures, it was fun styling my favorite flannels in so many ways. The rest of my Vermont looks featured plenty of plaid, the trending “shacket,” and a color palette to match the gorgeous landscape!

I hope you enjoy these warm, autumn outfits as much I did! You can find all of my Vermont looks here. I’ve linked Shawn’s and Bo’s outfits as well! For all of my Vermont travel recommendations, I’ve put together a separate Vermont Travel Guide for you already on the blog!

Walmart Home Fall Refresh

Y’all know I’m always looking for new decor pieces to give me an excuse to redecorate! It may seem like this could get a little pricey, but luckily Walmart has the best home decor at an even better price point. Today, I wanted to share my recent decor project going on in our entryway.

I’ve been itching to refresh this space and what better time than fall. The selection at Walmart made it easy to shop for everything I had imagined for this space, from pumpkins to candles to rugs! I ended up with so many darling finds!

I first started with this gorgeous rug from Walmart and went from there (see my inspiration board here):

I already had the table shared below, so I wanted to see if I could make it work BUT I do have to say I LOVE the Walmart table I shared in my inspo pic!  I am ALL about adding a cute basket, festive pillows, and a blanket to make it a cozier feel and may end up ordering that table instead!  I purchased this floor to ceiling arched mirror years ago and paid $$$$ for it! I was SO happy when I saw one SO similar for you all that is available now at Walmart!

First up, can we take a moment for this beautiful rug?! This was just one of many Walmart had to offer–it was hard to pick a favorite!  I loved the colors and the pattern that this rug gave plus it reminded me so much of the super expensive vintage rugs BUT I was able to grab this rug for under $70 and it came in just a couple of days!

No space is complete without a wreath (you all know I LOVE holiday wreaths)! Walmart had a great assortment of colors and styles in all of their decor, but especially when it came to thee wreaths. I can’t wait to hang these around the house this season and tie together my fall decor

What space in your home are you most excited about decorating this fall? I think I am heading to our back porch next! Check out Walmart Home and tell me your must-haves!

A special thank you to Walmart for sponsoring this post.
