Winter Wear with Walmart

It’s cold in the south for approximately 20 days (give or take) and coming from a town in Virginia where we would regularly have snowstorms and winter seemed to never end, to South Carolina where it snows once a decade, my winter wardrobe has really been slacking!

I hate to spend a fortune on winter clothes when they so rarely get used here, but, thankfully, Walmart’s winter collection is super stylish and so affordable! I mean, this teddy coat is amazing quality and only $20! I’ve seen similar pieces retail for over $200, so I feel like this is a total steal. I love finding on-trend items that don’t break the bank and pairing them with wardrobe staples (like these leather leggings) to create the perfect outfit. Mixing key pieces that are forever favorites with trending looks is the easiest way to style new items in your wardrobe without feeling inauthentic to your personal style!

I am in full-on gift mode right now and this teddy coat would be the most perfect gift for any stylish woman on your list — for only $20 you might as well grab one for yourself too!

I know I’ve been wearing these boots a lot lately — but they are THAT good. For only $29 they have a high-end look (and feel!) without the high-end price tag. Walmart does an amazing job of taking inspiration from designers and turning them into fashion that is attainable for everyone to wear!

I’ve been really into teddy coats and pullovers this season and Walmart’s outwear selection right now is AMAZING! There were so many great items to choose from it was hard for me to narrow it down, but I rounded up a few of my absolute favorites. I mean, how chic would this fur coat be for a Holiday party?

I hope you’re loving the Holiday collection at Walmart as much as I am. What’s your must-have wardrobe staple for winter? Comment below!

*Special thanks to Walmart for sponsoring this post. All thoughts and opinions are my own!

Holiday Cards with Vistaprint

I set a personal goal for myself this year that I’d get my Christmas cards out BEFORE Christmas. (Last year, that did not happen!) And with the madness of holiday travel, the season of Black Friday, and pinning down everyone’s schedule I made it a priority to get our cards ordered and ready extra-early… before all the craziness set in.

What ended up being a game-changer for me this year was using Pinterest to plan everything from my card’s typography to our outfits! I basically use Pinterest as my main search engine for ideas and inspiration these days and I am always blown away by how creative people are. And, how one image can inspire you to do a thousand different things. I loved looking at other family holiday pictures to spark ideas on poses, wardrobe coordination and more.

The tricky part about styling family photoshoots, for me, is making sure that everyone coordinates without matching. Finding a color scheme first and keeping those colors in mind when outfit planning/shopping is crucial! I’m very fortunate that Shawn is not super picky about what I make him wear and that Bo hasn’t put up a fight (yet!). Opting to match through accessories and accent colors is an easy way to style a group in a way where they don’t all look the same. And sticking to your pre-chosen color palette simplifies the outfit process.

With Pinterest I was able to visualize what I wanted our photos to look like before we even took them! And it is invaluable for family pose ideas. With a color palette, theme, and outfits in mind we were able to come up with a location and (thanks again to Pinterest) had the idea to put large strands of garland on a swing. We live in the south and snowy Christmas tree farms are few and far between so we had to get creative about our location and how to give it a holiday feel.

I LOVE how they turned out! How cute is Bo in his nutcracker outfit? I can’t handle it! Designing my cards on Vistaprint was so easy and quick! I love how their card templates make me feel like I’m a graphic designer even though all I did was upload a photo and they were quickly delivered to my door! The quality blows me away each year and the price? You just can’t beat it.

AND they have so many options for personalization — check out the sticker with Bo’s picture on it for an envelope seal!! It absolutely makes the card. Now, how early is too early to send them out?

Use my code, 2019HOLIDAY, for up to 50% off your own Vistaprint holiday cards along with wall calendars, mugs, photo books and wall art! The possibilities are endless.
