Mother/Daughter Trip To #CampMacKenzieChilds

A couple of weeks ago, my mom and I had the opportunity to travel to upstate New York for the most amazing experience at Camp MacKenzie-Childs with Little Voice PR in Aurora, NY.

If you follow me on Instagram then you probably saw a lot of my stories from inside MacKenzie-Childs and followed along as my mom and I, plus some other influencers and their mothers toured the beautiful MacKenzie-Childs, the Inns, and Aurora. We got to create our own flower arrangements in beautiful MacKenzie-Childs vases, paint our own MacKenzie-Childs cake platter, learned how to make some delicious cocktails that are perfect for parties, painted silk scarves, and most importantly, hang out with our mamas. It had been a while since my mom and I had been able to do anything, just us two, so it was so nice to hang out with her for a few days and meet some incredible new friends, some of who I have followed and admired for a long time!

I have always had a love and admiration for MacKenzie-Childs pieces, but it wasn’t until I got to see the artist at work, painting each piece or molding the clay to make the gorgeous tea pot, the perfectly hand painted dinner plate, or the platter you were given on your wedding day that you will pass on for generations to come.

My mom and I along with the others got a preview of the 2019 Holiday collection and lets just say, MY WHEELS ARE ALREADY SPINNING BECAUSE WOW! I think it is their most beautiful work yet! I cannot wait to decorate our home this year-as most of you know I decorated everywhere in our home last Christmas that I could with MacKenzie-Childs.

As an entrepreneur, it was incredible to see the products come to life and really understand the MacKenzie-Childs brand. The company is ran by some of the absolute BEST in the world and it was incredible to enjoy lunches and dinners with them. For me, there was SO much creativity, enthusiasm, pattern mixing, and most importantly, love for what they are doing that it inspired me in my own boutique to do more, inspire more, and really creatively think MORE.

I wanted my mom to be able to share about her experience in Aurora, and this is what she had to say:

“When Whitney asked me to go to the MacKenzie-Childs mother/daughter trip to Aurora, NY I immediately started goggling other influencers who have been because I had no idea what to expect.  But after reading and looking at previous pictures I knew this would be an amazing trip and trust me, it did not disappoint.

Whitney was totally in her element and she was surrounded by the beauty and uniqueness of the other influencers that were also invited to attend.

Other than staying at the quaint Rowland House sitting on Lake Cayuga, the Factory tour was my favorite part of the trip. The attention to detail of every piece whether it is pottery or furniture is incredible.  I also fell in love with the pink bathroom at the farm house.  I told Whitney she has to have a little girl someday so she can have a bathroom like that!!  Wow!!

Rebecca, the Creative Director for MacKenzie-Childs is such an awe-inspiring person.  She was so “fun” if you will. I couldn’t wait for her to explain the next new piece coming out later this year or just talking about Mackenzie Childs because of her enthusiasm and obvious love for Mackenzie Childs.

I honestly hadn’t heard of MacKenzie-Childs until a little over a year ago when Whitney and I went to a lady’s home in Myrtle Beach for Whitney’s  engagement pictures.  She had several pieces in her kitchen but her Mackenzie Childs outdoor furniture was incredible.  Since then Whitney has acquired several pieces and it is gorgeous!!  I had no idea the amount of attention and detail that goes into the pieces and now I am hooked.  I cannot wait to start collecting my own pieces.  Whitney and I painted cake plates so that will be my first piece.

I had so much fun meeting all the other ladies and their mommas!

MacKenzie-Childs will never know how grateful I am to have had this week of fun and laughs and to have Whitney all to myself. “

Even tho every year my mom tells us not to get her anything for Mothers Day, he he-we always get her a card, and a gift! This year, I am getting her the Parchment Check Great Vase she fell in LOVE with while we were in Aurora. I hope to start a tradition with her this year where we gift each other a piece every Mothers Day so when Bo is old enough, or I have a daughter, she will have some amazing MacKenzie-Childs pieces from her grandmother and mom.

Below, I am linking some perfect gifts for your Mother this mothers day, as well as what I have ordered my mom for Mothers Day.
