I didn’t really get into skincare until this past year and now I am obsessed with everything I can get my hands on and I’m always trying new products. My holy grail of skincare and a forever staple in my life may surprise you though… I am a full, 100000% believer in Cetaphil. I use it every single day morning and night and it is my forever favorite product.

If you’re looking for a splurge-worthy option then I fully back the Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm, a little goes a LONG way so you definitely get your monies worth out of this deliciously soft cleanser. It takes off ALL of your makeup and leaves my skin feeling so refreshed without feeling dry.

Another favorite skincare brand I use is Drunk Elephant! I have used their entire collection and love it all but I never let myself run out of the C-Firma Day Serum. It really evens out your skin tone and is the perfect pre-primer + makeup serum to put on under makeup.

As far as skincare tools I love, the Vanity Planet facial steamer is a personal favorite. I use mine all the time and it’s my go-to gift. With Mother’s Day coming up soon this is something any mom is sure to love!

I’ve done a lot of bad things to my hair. Daily Skincare Habits to Start Before You Turn 30

As I near my 30’s I am growing more and more conscious of my daily skincare routine and what I can be doing to prevent aging and better care for my skin. Here’s a step by step breakdown of what products I am currently using (and loving) in my daily skincare routine and how I use them.

A morning skincare routine was not really anything I started to implement until the last few years but now I can’t imagine putting on makeup without putting on skincare (and SPF) first.

This has been the one constant item in my skincare routine since high school. I cannot imagine a world without Cetaphil! It keeps my skin clear, oil-free, and I love how my face feels after I use it. If you are looking for an inexpensive staple cleanser… this is it!

If you haven’t jumped on the Vitamin C skin trend you are seriously missing out. It’s like a dose of sunshine on your skin first thing in the morning. I’ve tried a handful of Vitamin C serums and this one is by far my favorite! I also love gifting this product because I know EVERYONE will love it.

I know I talk about this Drunk Elephant moisturizer all the time but it really is one product that is absolutely worth the splurge. I use it every single morning and it’s a product that lasts such a long time! A little goes a long way.

For morning eyes this Tula eye balm is super easy to apply and doesn’t make my makeup fall off. It also makes me look like I had the best night’s sleep!

This Hourglass primer has SPF 15 in it which makes it perfect to wear alone or as a start to my makeup routine. SPF is a MUST for every day, even on days when you don’t plan on being outside and the fact that this is a lightweight primer gives me no excuse not to wear it daily!

Even if I didn’t wear any makeup that day I always start my nighttime skincare routine with a makeup removing cleanser. This cleansing balm by Colleen Rothschild is incredible and so hydrating. I am a huge fan of using a muslin cloth with this balm, it gives you a gentle exfoliation and I can really SEE all of my makeup coming off.

I always use a toner after I cleanse my face, I feel like it gives me a neutral and even-start to my skincare routine. This glow tonic toner is such a bargain for the quality, toner isn’t anything I’m super loyal to, they all seem to have the same result in my opinion. This is one part of my routine I don’t invest a ton of money into and usually just pick up whatever at the drugstore.

This eye cream is so cooling and hyrdating. It has been my go-to all summer!

Depending on what my skin is like, I also love implementing a weekly facial mask!

This sheet mask from Dr. Jart+ gives me instantly brighter and more even skin. I love using this for when I want to feel like I’m at the spa. Pro tip: chilled cucumbers on the eyes may not do anything but it really enhances the experience.

I’ve had his beauty mini-fridge for about a year now and I am still. loving it… For one thing, it looks super cute in my bathroom and makes me feel like Blair Waldorf when applying my skincare routine (or maybe that’s my newfound love of headbands?). Items with cooling ingredients get a boost of effectiveness when they are actually cool. So I feel like I’m getting my money’s worth out of some skincare splurges, especially ones I don’t use daily like peels or weekly treatments.

 

I’ve been semi-obsessed with my jade roller lately and I’ve always kept that in my actual fridge… Shawn is just happy it’s not taking up the butter dish space anymore. Keeping it handy and in the mini-fridge gives me that extra jolt of energy in the morning, and I also feel like it makes my face feel tighter while giving me a glowy start to the day.
